Mr. Walid Al Sawalhi
Prior to joining ECAE, Mr. Walid held serval senior leadership roles in across different work streams; procurement and contracts, project management, finance and administration, covering mainly; higher education and health industries in his more than 30 years of professional experiences. He was the Director of Procurement, Contracts and Administrative Services At the Khalifa University where he was managing operations and staff in support of the University-wide program for the procurement of commodities and services; ensuring that procurement program, policies and practices are effective and consistent with the academic, administrative, financial, and operational needs of the University.
Among numerous achievements and highlights in his career. Mr. Walid led his team to successfully implementing the privatization project in Dubai Health Authority and directed the automating of sector wide financial and purchasing system (ERP), this is in addition to his senior role in renovating Rashid Hospital.
Mr. Walid is a member of Steering Committee of AD Government Digital Procurement Gate (DOF), and key deliverables of the Project of developing the Procurement Standards and operating model across AD Government to increase the efficiency of government spending, and to facilitate and standardize procurement processes among all different government entities.Mr. Walid success won a recognition for Creativity and Time-Saving Innovation award meant for paradigm shift and business process re-engineering of the commercial transaction processing time.
Mr. Walid is holding Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration & Political Sciences from the University of United Arab Emirates.
