Applicants of all nationalities may apply for admission to the M.Ed. program provided they meet the following criteria:

Full Admission Requirements

  • Hold a recognized baccalaureate degree from an accredited University, earned in a discipline appropriate for the M.Ed. with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or its established equivalent.
  • Hold a current International English Language Testing System (IELTS) of 6.0 or equivalent (TOEFL IBT or TOEFL ITP or Pearson PTE Academic or EmSAT) or higher.

Provisional Admission Requirement

  • Hold a recognized baccalaureate degree from an accredited University, earned in a discipline appropriate for the M.Ed. with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or its established equivalent.
  • Hold a current International English Language Testing System (IELTS) of 6.0 or equivalent (TOEFL IBT or TOEFL ITP or Pearson PTE Academic or EmSAT) or higher.

Provisional entry students must meet the following requirements during the period of provisional admission or be subject to dismissal:

  • may take a maximum of nine credit hours in the first semester of study;
  • must achieve an overall grade point average of 3.00 on a 4.0 scale, or its established equivalent, in the first nine credit hours of credit-bearing courses studied for the Master's program.

Note: Math and Science tracks

  • Applicants interested in the Math track must hold an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, a Mathematical Science, Engineering or Math Education (or equivalent).
  • Applicants interested in the Science track must hold an undergraduate degree in Science or Science Education (or equivalent).
