| |  | | | Message from the Vice Chancellor | Welcome to Emirates College for Advanced Education (ECAE), the first teacher training college in the UAE, and home to Abu Dhabi emirate’s next generation of educators.
Our nation has journeyed into a new era. Economic and social progress are reshaping all aspects of life, including the field of education. Proactive educators do not merely follow scholastic trends; in fact, we steer the flow of positive change. ECAE has been established to create educational leadership in the UAE, providing the most modern and successful teaching approaches, and producing high status graduates. ECAE’s mission is to serve the nation through training the next generation of teachers who will be responsible for developing the UAE’s future through its education.
At the helm of this movement are skilled teachers guiding their keen learners. Disappearing are the sterile, dull classrooms of times past. Replacing them are classes that are vibrant, interactive, and inspiring. Rote memorization and impractical assessments have given way to inquiry and self discovery.
ECAE is at the center of Abu Dhabi’s educational reform. We are proud to have been chosen by local leaders to fulfill this role. Our faculty and staff hail from over twenty countries, bringing a wealth of credentials and expertise. Students at ECAE have access to the best in teaching and learning theory and application, and are encouraged to explore and maximize their own talents. We understand that proper training and commitment to excellence are key to creating a brighter world. Teaching touches the hearts of students, ultimately changing their prospects for the better, and by extension, society. A career in education also comes with unique professional perks; it brings excitement, respect, an attractive salary, and most importantly, fulfillment. Teaching pays in so many ways.
