Graham Probert

Graham Probert holds an MA in TESOL obtained from Canterbury University, England and a BA (hons) in Social Policy and Administration from Portsmouth University, England. He also has a TEFLA Trinity Diploma and a TEFL CERT. He has lived in Abu Dhabi for 13 years and prior to joining ECAE Graham Probert held the position of English language instructor at the British Council, Abu Dhabi. He has also taught in ADMC/CERT, IAT and ADNOC ATI. He also taught in Sohar University in Oman before coming to the UAE and for over 10 years in Europe in Greece, Portugal and England.

Dr. Ieda M. Santos

Dr. Ieda M. Santos

Dr. Santos holds a PhD in Education from University of Warwick, UK and Master in Education from Massey University, NZ. Prior to joining ECAE, she worked at the University of Aveiro, Portugal. Dr. Santos has led and collaborated in national and international research projects on technology integration and online learning. She has taught undergraduate and graduate courses on education technology and research methodology and online courses. Dr. Santos’ current research interests include online learning, technology integration, mobile learning, open sources and social network.

Kacy Morgan

Kacy Morgan

Ms. Kacy Morgan holds a Master of Arts In Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (MA TESOL) degree from Concordia University, Portland, OR, USA. Prior to joining ECAE, Ms. Morgan held the position of English Language Coordinator at Ladysmith Secondary, Ladysmith, Canada.
Ms. Morgan has also worked for ADEK teaching English to high school girls. Her main research and educational interests are improving English language development among her students and increasing male Emiratis in teaching positions.

Dr. Mary Lynn Woolsey

Dr. Mary Lynn Woolsey

Dr. Mary Lynn Woolsey holds a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, US. She is a member of the Association of Applied Behavior Analysis, the Council for Exceptional Children, American Educational Research Association (AERA), and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD). Prior to joining ECAE, Dr. Woolsey taught online at University of the Cumberlands. Dr. Woolsey worked as the Director of the Center on Deafness at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and taught at the University of North Florida. Dr. Woolsey’s research interests has received numerous US federal grants supporting her work in the area of Ecobehavioral Assessment of students and their teachers. Her current research interest focuses on evidence-based instructional strategies for students with disabilities, inclusion and more recently, educational policies that positively affect students in schools.

Dr. Martina Dickson

Dr. Martina Dickson

Dr. Martina Dickson holds a PhD from the University of London (UK). She currently teaches science education courses at ECAE and has held a variety of teaching and advisory positions over thirteen years in Greece, Oman, Hong Kong and the UAE. She was an Educational Advisor to government schools in the UAE for four years from 2007-2011, and joined ECAE in 2011. Her research interests and recent publications include educational reform, novice Emirati teachers, gender in education and science pedagogy. She is presently a candidate for an MA in Education and International Development at UCL. She is the Chair, Undergraduate Programs.

Dr. Michael Melkonian

Dr. Michael Melkonian

Dr. Michael Melkonian holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom. Prior to joining ECAE he worked as a visiting Assistant Professor for Psychology at the American University of Sharjah, UAE. He also worked as an Educational Consultant, Educational Project Management at SSM Consultancy, Larnaca, Cyprus and as an Institution Erasmus Coordinator at Philips College, Nicosia, Cyprus. Dr. Michael has extensive experience working in universities and schools where he taught Educational Psychology, General Psychology Research Methods and Cross-Cultural Education; he is a member of the British Psychological Society and holds International Association for Cross-Cultural Psychology.
