Dr. Cara D. Williams holds a Doctorate of Philosophy in Educational Psychology-Special Education from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, United States of America. Her research expertise and interests are in the areas of progress monitoring, learning disabilities, at-risk populations, and mathematics. Prior to joining ECAE, Dr. Williams held the position of Special Education Teacher in Houston, Texas, United States of America.

Dr. Claudine Habak

Dr. Claudine Habak

Dr. Claudine Habak holds a Ph.D. in Neuropsychology and Cognitive Science from Université de Montréal, Canada. Prior to joining ECAE, Dr. Habak was a postdoctoral fellow at York University’s Centre for Vision Research and at the Montreal Geriatric Institute, Canada, and a Researcher in the Visual Psychophysics and Perception Laboratory, Université de Montréal, Canada.
Claudine Habak specializes in cognitive neuroscience and visual perception. She focuses on perceptual-cognitive interactions in healthy populations, along with work in aging, and atypical populations, including Parkinson’s disease and Autism. She uses various methodologies: psychophysics, behavioral techniques, and brain imaging.

Dr. David Richard Litz

Dr. David Richard Litz

Dr. David Litz holds an Ed.D. in Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Calgary, Canada. Prior to joining ECAE, he worked as an English Language Lecturer at UAE University where he taught Academic English Writing and presentation skills to college students in the English for Academic Purposes program. He has also worked for the UAE Armed Forces; Rick Hansen Secondary school, Canada; Sung-Kyun-Kwan University, South Korea; Dalhousie University, Canada. His research interests include globalization and education, issues in international and comparative education, international educational leadership/management, and educational policy and development in the MENA region.

Dr. Dean Cairns

Dr. Dean Cairns

Dr. Dean Cairns holds PhD Chemistry, MSc Polymer Chemistry, BSc Chemistry, PGCE Secondary Science Teaching [UK], AST accreditation (Advanced Skills Teacher) [UK]. Experience total: Research scientist 7 years; Educator; 14 years. Recent experience (last 3 years): Worked for the last two years as a science advisor and curriculum specialist for ADEK. This involved supporting schools directly (from principals to teachers) and working with the curriculum and assessment team at ADEK HQ to develop and implement Emirate-wide materials and policies. Prior to this worked as an advisor/consultant for science education in UK. This included working with headteachers, coordinators and teachers to develop all aspects of science education.

Dr. Farouq Almeqdadi

Dr. Farouq Almeqdadi holds a PhD in Curriculum & Instruction (Mathematics Education) from Ohio University, USA. He taught undergraduate & graduate courses at The University of Wisconsin (USA), Yarmouk University (Jordan), and UAE University. His research interests include: Developing school Mathematics curricula, improving teachers’ instructional strategies, integrating technology in education and multicultural Mathematics investigations. He is the Head, Mathematics Education & Information Science Division

Dr. Fatimah Rashad

Dr. Fatimah Rashad

Dr. Fatimah Rashad holds a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from Purdue University, West Lafayette, USA. She has over 8 years of teaching experience in different institutions and previously worked in Korea as a Native English Teacher. She has worked at Brooklyn College as an adjunct Assistant Professor and at Purdue University as research Assistant, Graduate Lecturer. Dr. Fatimah also worked at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis as Research and Evaluation Consultant.
