Thank you for visiting Emirates College for Advanced Education. A strategic directive of the Abu Dhabi Education Council is to improve the quality of school personnel. The college will be the jewel in the crown of this directive.

The ECAE faculty and staff have been working hard to ensure that the curriculum for our grades K-5 teachers as well as our postgraduate pre-service and in-service courses is responsive to the needs of future teachers in the Emirate. The original curriculum was developed by the highly acclaimed National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. In the short time the ECAE has been open, it has risen to the challenge set by Singapore’s curriculum blueprint with a fully integrated English Foundation program for aspiring teachers, and recently introduced its new B.Ed. programme. The postgraduate and in-service teacher training programs are also under review with an eye to the context of the local educational system and the needs of practicing teachers and school administrators.

These are exciting times for the college as over the next few years our programs are expected to grow to include master’s and doctoral work, leadership development training, a wide range of in-service courses and of a more expansive grades K-5 offering. Add to this the prospect of a state of the art, purpose built facility designed to help teachers prepare local students for a wholesome and quality life in the 21st Century and we will be set to be an institute of distinction in educational services to the Emirates.
