ECAE’s academic and English language prerequisites must be met before entering the Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) Program.
Recent high school graduates:
- Need a CEPA English score of 175 or above for B. Ed or 160 – 174 for Foundations (or equivalent) and a grade average of 75% (or equivalent)
Students who do not fulfill the criteria above may be eligible to enter the Foundations Program based on meeting the general admissions requirements applied by the College. Previous high school graduates (before 2009): - Need to have scored at least 5.0 on an Academic IELTS, or 61 on an Internet-based TOEFL. You may also be required to take an English placement test and/or attend an interview. The result will determine if you enter Foundations or B Ed.
* General IELTS and paper-based TOEFL scores will not be accepted for admission purposes Transfer students from other colleges or universities: - Must provide a transcript from the college/university when you apply for admission to ECAE. You may also be required to take an English placement test and/or attend an interview.
